July 2026 is almost behind us, the world continues to evolve, presenting both challenges and opportunities for our faith journeys. I was thinking to myself and wanted to share some practical ways to navigate your life with Christ in this dynamic era.
1. Embrace Digital Discipleship: In an age dominated by technology, online communities can enrich your faith. Join virtual Bible studies or engage with Christian content on social media platforms to find encouragement. But be cautious on which platform you go with, there’s a lot out there, and wisdom must be your go-to in terms of identifying a doctrinally sound platform.
2. Focus on Authentic Relationships: Surround yourself with fellow believers who uplift and challenge you. Whether in person or online, meaningful connections are essential for spiritual growth. It’s not the quantity that matters, it’s the quality. Surrounding yourself with at least 2 people that will keep you honest, and check in with you and keep you accountable will work in your favor.
3. Serve with Purpose: Look for local and global opportunities to serve. Volunteering not only helps others but deepens your faith as you embody Christ’s love in action. Of course the easiest route is looking for local serving opportunities. This can be in your local church, where ministries are always in need of volunteers. You can help in children’s ministry, media, music, general serving with set up and tear down – all of these practical opportunities always shape character and draw you closer to a walk with Christ as you model your life after Him, in serving others.
4. Cultivate a Habit of Prayer: Make daily prayer a priority. It’s your lifeline to Christ, providing guidance and peace amid uncertainty. It’s super easy to only pray when there’s a need. If you’re a parent you know that there’s more to just answering your children when it comes to their requests. There’s a beautiful relationship that needs to be built around a prayer life that exalts the Lord, seeks His guidance in times of decision making, and generally offers praise and worship even when you do not feel like it!
5. Stay Grounded in Scripture: Commit to reading the Bible regularly. It offers timeless wisdom that can guide you through modern dilemmas. Navigating life with Christ in 2026 is about embracing change while staying rooted in His love. Let’s move forward together, trusting in God’s plan. Get yourself a bible! I just picked up a new NET bible soft leather cover, with large print that I am diving into, armed with a highlighter and notepad. You will be amazed at how crucial scripture is today, navigating the storms of life, and trusting in every word that emanates from the bible, and how impactful a single verse can have on your day.
Sure there’s a lot to unpack in general, however, starting with basic grounding and practical steps will ensure that your walk with Christ comprises a “failing forward” mindset that will keep you close to the heart of the Father, keep you accountable in your circle of influence, and afford you opportunities to share your faith.
You never have to “do it all”, just start with baby steps and allow the Holy Spirit to draw you deeper into a living and active and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Some days will be good, some days will be difficult, but if the general trajectory has you on a path trained on seeking the Lord, and serving Him authentically, then the small mustard seed faith that is germinating in your heart will explode into growth and offer shade and covering during the not so easy times.
We have to do as much as we can, in this life that we are given. Often we THINK we are doing great, and then scripture reminds us that without the Lord, the net end result will not be good.
Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way that leads to death”.
