The Potential For War To Escalate

Posted on June 23, 2025July 8, 2025 by Brother Sjambok

We’re not in World War 3 yet, but history shows how quickly regional conflicts can escalate. Peace depends on diplomacy, restraint, and informed citizens. Just glance over to the Middle East and it’s looking ominous to some degree, notably between Israel and Iran. There’s also the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and over the weekend the world witnessed the B-2 flights from USA into Iran to destroy nuclear facilities.

The general consensus is that the potential for war is evident as diplomacy breaks down, tempers flare, and rulers vie for sovereignty. The question is; at what cost? Loss of human life. Crippling infrastructure. Global unrest and all that comes with it.

Here’s my two cents worth synopsis:

🌍 Global Tensions: Why People Are Asking

🔥 1. Russia–Ukraine War

  • The war is ongoing, with increased involvement from NATO nations (weapons, intelligence, training).
  • Russia has issued nuclear threats, but no direct NATO-Russia military conflict has occurred—yet.

🌊 2. U.S.–China Tensions Over Taiwan

  • China vows to take Taiwan, potentially by force.
  • The U.S. has hinted at defending Taiwan militarily.
  • A war over Taiwan would likely involve multiple global powers, making it one of the biggest potential flashpoints.

🕊️ 3. Middle East Escalation

  • Israel, Iran, Hezbollah, and others are increasingly hostile.
  • Proxy wars could escalate, especially if more nations are drawn in.

💻 4. Cyberwarfare & AI-Driven Conflict

  • Cyberattacks between nations (e.g., China, Russia, U.S., North Korea) are escalating.
  • These attacks don’t look like traditional warfare, but they could provoke real-world retaliation.

“Wars begin when you will, but they do not end when you please.” – Niccolò Machiavelli

In your circle of influence how focused if at all, are you on global events? Are you noticing any pressure in your regular day to day living?
