Quote from Pastor Vic on October 22, 2026, 7:27 pmPart 1: The Symptoms of the Fear of ManBefore we can address the root issue, we have to recognize how it manifests in our daily rhythms.
- The Over-Analyzer: Replaying conversations late at night, deleting and rewriting simple emails, or obsessing over a perceived slight or cold response.
- The People-Pleaser: Say "yes" to commitments out of guilt rather than calling, or modifying your language to avoid any potential conflict or pushback.
- The Platform-Seeker: Feeling a twinge of bitterness or resentment when your hard work, service, or sacrifices go completely unnoticed by leadership or peers.
Forum Reflection Question: Which of these symptoms do you catch yourself slipping into most frequently, and what specific situations usually trigger it?

It’s so easy to slip into that 3 a.m. trap where sleep abandons you, and your mind just spins in circles.Just this past week, I caught myself rewriting a short, simple email four or five times before hitting send. I was completely consumed by trying to guess how the person on the other end would interpret my tone, worrying that a short response might look cold or uncaring. When I finally hit send, I realized I had wasted twenty minutes trying to manage an image instead of just trusting the Lord with the interaction. It's a daily battle to remind myself that my worth is already settled by Jesus, not by how perfectly I craft a message or how smoothly a conversation goes.I’d love to hear from the rest of you. Which of those areas resonates with you the most, and how does it usually show up in your week? No judgment here—let’s just be real with each other.
